Right off the bat once you enter the first town, Valentine, you can take a taxi coach to other towns and big landmarks that you have visited. For a fee, of course. You can eventually upgrade your camp so you can fast travel from there, but that's all. It makes tackling the side activities needlessly tedious more so than a lot of them, like hunting, already are.
